Rutland County Council (RCC), with a grant received from the Levelling Up Fund, is seeking tender submissions from providers with proven experience in fossil conservation and 3D digitisation for the comprehensive de-jacketing, conservation, preparation, mounting and associated digitisation of the Ichthyosaur fossil.
This process involves detailed handling of delicate fossil material currently encased in plaster-of-paris field jackets.
The successful provider will be able to complete the work by the end of March 2026.
