The brief

Further to the PIN published by Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust, South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, and South West London and St George's Mental Health NHS Trust (''the Trusts'') in the Official Journal of the European Union ref 2017/S 082-158499 on 25th April 2017 regarding the above procurement, the Trusts are holding a Market Engagement Day at Memorial Hospital, Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust, Shooters Hill, Woolwich on Tuesday 6th June 2017.

The Trusts are seeking to review the provision of transport services and are seeking views from suitable and capable contractors on the provision of sustainable, safe and effective transport services across the three Mental Health Trusts in South London.

The procurement will be structured into 6 lots; Lot 1 - Taxi, Lot 2 - Courier, Lot 3 - Wheelchair (mobility), Lot 4 - Secure Patient Transport, Lot 5 - Non Emergency Patient Transport, and Lot 6 - Transport Booking system.

The Trusts would like to get potential providers' views, assess the market appetite, discuss its plans with providers to understand capacity and providers' ability to deliver the service.

The Trusts will value views of potential providers at this stage to help shape an innovative specification. This early engagement notice does not formally signify the beginning of any procurement and does not constitute a commitment to undertake a procurement exercise.

In the event that the Trusts decide to formally commence procurement in pursuant to this early engagement notice, a separate contract notice will be issued.
