When this comes round again

Wolverhampton City Council publishes Environment & Waste work continuously — 44 notices, roughly one every 40 days. This is a stream to watch, not a cycle to wait for.

30% of Wolverhampton City Council’s awards go to a supplier it has used before.

Which is the argument for getting on the list rather than winning this one. The incumbent is rarely the last winner — it is the roster. See the retention odds by category →

The brief

To support the council waste teams to deliver green waste, HWRC waste, skips and mixed loads of fly-tipping, directly to compliant providers and that licensed and compliant services are in place for the disposal or the collection of mattresses, persistent organic pollutants (soft furnishings) and hazardous wastes such as chemicals and gas cylinders.

The service requirement is split into lots, each of which has a target commencement date of 1 November 2026.
