The brief

To provide a Children's Rights and Advocacy Service for Children in Need and Children in Care referred to them by the Purchaser, providing approximately 75 contacts per quarter.

Note the Council may require the Contractor to increase this case load, if the Council has a growing requirement.

For this we may consider additional batches of 10 referrals however any additional Service(s) are not guaranteed and will be discussed with the Contractor in monitoring meetings.

To provide an Independent Visitor Service for Children in the care of the Purchaser, providing approximately 25-30 matches per year.

To include provision of Mentoring Support for Young People who are on the edge of coming into care and needing additional support, providing up to 5 individual matches per year.

To provide a Mentoring Service for Young People Leaving Care.

Providing weekly support to a small group of Young People living in the community, and up to 5 individual matches per year.

Note the Council may require the Contractor to increase these case load(s), if the Council has a growing requirement.

Any additional Service(s) are not guaranteed and will be discussed with the Contractor in monitoring meetings.

To meet the National Standards for children's advocacy services.

The service will endeavour to meet the needs of all Children and Young People from diverse cultural backgrounds by providing appropriate resources (for example, translation and interpreting services).

The services will be available to all Children and Young People referred into the service in line with the definitions in the Children Act and The Leaving Care Act.
