The brief

Fenland District Council is seeking tenders for the provision of design services for the creation of a new inspiring piece of public realm at number 24 High Street, Wisbech.

The regeneration of this site forms an integral part of the Wisbech High Street Townscape Heritage project which is part funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF).

Building on the work carried out during the development phase, the Authority is seeking architectural and associated technical support to provide design services covering RIBA stages E-L (work stages 3 - 7) for the delivery of a scheme for 24 High Street.

Summary of requirements requiring support services: A new, temporary (5-10 year), accessible piece of public realm A highly flexible space that is capable of hosting a range of events and activities A viewing platform.

The protection, remedial works and access for repairs to the building to the rear of the site - detailed scope of works for this element will be provided to the appointed design team.
