This service provides specialist palliative care support for Children and Young People who either do not need access to a hospital and/or who have identified their usual place of residence as a preferred place of care / death.
Children's palliative care is an approach to care covering physical, emotional, social and spiritual support.
This focusses on improving quality of life for the child or young person and supporting their family members or carers.
This includes managing distressing symptoms, providing respite care and support with death and bereavement.

VAT), the figure reflected in this notice is the total contract value, including the option to extend by a further 12 months.
This is the final agreed figure which is slightly higher than the expected value set out within the VEAT, however this is not a material difference.
The contract has been in place with the provider since 2013.
The cumulative value of the contract to 31st March 2023 is £2,951,851 (excluding VAT and the value of this new contract).
