Facilitation is an art, bringing together the style of a facilitator with the people they work with and the situations, topics, challenges the teams or individuals want or need to address.

Finding good facilitators who can work with teams across HE is not easy and relies on facilitators having a variety of tools, approaches and methods, a flexibility of style and the ability to understand HE and its people so they can have rapport and can challenge the individuals and teams.

Only working with a few teams in HE can let us know that a facilitator can be used across HE and with what kind of teams.

Barry Hennessy from insights-2-implementation has worked with the Executive Team over the past 9 months, delivering facilitation for their strategy away days.

Barry is the first facilitator that the Exec Team want to continue working with.

He now has established trust with the team and is able to challenge them which is critical for these sessions to have value.

Should we need to change supplier there would be significant additional costs associated with bringing a new supplier up to speed, built trust and the opportunity costs of ET time associated with doing so.

His daily rate is discounted significantly from his normal rates for commercial organisations to £1000 for design and delivery and he is very generous in providing more time than charged for in the design of the days.
