The brief

Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (HPFT, the Trust) is looking to commission a new service that will promote and embed support for people experiencing a mental health crisis to recover and remain living in the community.

The crisis house will serve as an alternative to admission into hospital for people who are experiencing a mental health crisis.

It will offer a safe therapeutic environment for a crisis to be managed.

The crisis house will be part of a crisis/admission alternatives pathway including Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment (CRHT) Teams and Host Families, alongside VCSFE provision from our local partners including a Crisis Cafe.

Bidders will be required to demonstrate previous experience of delivering mental health services for people in a crisis.
