MARKET ENGAGEMENT - VEHICLE CONVERSION
Not enough history for this buyer
West Midlands Fire Service publishes Transport Equipment work continuously — 78 notices, roughly one every 1 day. This is a stream to watch, not a cycle to wait for.
39% of West Midlands Fire Service’s awards go to a supplier it has used before.
Which is the argument for getting on the list rather than winning this one. The incumbent is rarely the last winner — it is the roster. See the retention odds by category →
West Midlands Fire Service is engaging with the market with regards to a requirement to convert 20 x Toyota HiLux chassis.
The Toyota HiLux is required to have a gross vehicle weight (GVW) upgrade to between 4000kg and 4700kg, in a 4 x 4 configuration.
All chassis, steering, axle, suspension and braking components need to be fully compliant with the increased GVW.
The completed vehicle must undergo all relevant Vehicle Certification Agency tests.
The design characteristics should allow for good road holding / cornering, good braking and at the same time give a comfortable ride for all occupants.
It should also be capable of off-road driving.
The purpose of the market engagement process is to enable the Authority to establish the following: • Is there is a sufficient supplier base to ensure robust competition • What is the appetite in the market for the provision of the contract deliverables • How attractive to suppliers is the proposed package being procured • What is the estimated price range
