The brief

Provide expert guidance, support, and leadership to the objectives set out in the University's IT strategy, including the following activities: Support the successful delivery of the Network Modernisation project through the following activities; Review, assess and score the Network Modernisation ITT responses with the UCLan team.

Provide confident technical challenge and authority to suppliers' proposals, both in pre and post-award stages.

Work with UCLan procurement to lead the supplier selection process and contract award processes, with colleagues from IT, Estates and Legal Services.

This includes the review, adaptation and agreement of the new contract schedules, service agreements and other relevant documentation.

Identify, develop and implement the modernised network service model in partnership with the chosen supplier, including a framework for ongoing management of the relationship between UCLan and the new partner.

Support the managers of the various IT functions including Architecture, Service Management, Infrastructure, Security, Development and Delivery, in raising our organisational maturity to the levels required in the new IT TOM.

Support other projects within the IT portfolio as required by providing advice, guidance, mentoring and leadership to the team.
