Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council (RMBC) are keen to further understand where the market stands in terms of an upcoming opportunity for the decarbonisation of 15 commercial buildings, to be delivered in the 2026/27 financial year.
Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council is progressing a multi-year commercial building decarbonisation programme aligned with its commitment to achieve net-zero operational emissions by 2030.
The Council has already initiated upgrades at several smaller sites, measures such as ASHP, LED lighting, solar PV, BEMS and insulation works.
In the 2026/27 financial year, we intend to progress the decarbonisation of a further 15 buildings within our commercial estate.
Each site has already undergone a detailed decarbonisation survey, providing tailored recommendations for the most effective route to reducing emissions.
