The brief

This Tender Notice outlines the Authority's intent to competitively assess, select and award a contract to deliver Light Mobility Vehicle(s) (LMV) and associated support services.

The LMV programme is expected to deliver a range of vehicles, including the provision of a wheeled utility platform designed to modernise capabilities currently fulfilled by legacy fleets such as Land Rover and Pinzgauer.

The programme will utilise a common base platform to support a variety of warfighting roles across the Joint Force, enhancing interoperability, flexibility, and operational effectiveness.

The Contract will include an initial vehicle purchase with options to support future operational requirements, fleet growth and replacement needs vehicles with the ability to increase the vehicle fleet to in excess of 9,500.

This flexibility will enable the Authority to respond to evolving operational requirements and technology changes.

The LMV programme will require a Common Base Platform (CBP) which will be used to deliver 9 vehicle variants: General Purpose Vehicle (GPV) Battlefield Ambulance (BFA) Tactical Mobility Vehicle (TMV) Utility Vehicle (UV) Enhance Protection Vehicle (EPV) Command and Control (C2V) Equipment Support Vehicle (ESV) Troop Carrying Vehicle (TCV) Mission Systems Vehicle (MSV) The contract shall also include the ability for the Authority to utilise Post Design Services (PDS) for the ongoing development of the Vehicle variants to ensure that they continue to provide optimal performance as technology develops and matures.

The Authority may utilise PDS as one of the measures it uses to mitigate the risks outlined in the Description of risks to contract performance section of this tender notice.

In addition, the contract shall encompass the provision of a support solution, which may include but not be limited to maintenance, repair, and logistics support to sustain operational availability throughout the lifecycle of the vehicles.

This support solution may be scalable and adaptable to meet the varying demands of the different vehicle variants and operational environments.

A Training element will be included in the requirement to ensure that personnel are fully equipped to operate, maintain, and support the LMV variants effectively.

The primary delivery location will be the United Kingdom.

The support solution must be capable of providing support services worldwide.
