When this comes round again

Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority has published 3 Construction notices, about every 25 months. On that rhythm the next one is expected around May 2027.

19% of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority’s awards go to a supplier it has used before.

Which is the argument for getting on the list rather than winning this one. The incumbent is rarely the last winner — it is the roster. See the retention odds by category →

The brief

The Authority wishes to procure one or multiple suppliers for all aspects of the bus stop improvements project which is compliant with requirements of the Procurement Act 2023, enabling the Authority to partner with suppliers that support all stages of the project from product design to completion of installation.

Working alongside our partners, the authority currently plans to improve the infrastructure of approximately 105 bus stops and stations across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.

The improvements cover many elements, such as bus cages, shelters, poles and flags, timetable cases, vegetation clearance, footway paving, and raising kerbs.

For more information on the project, please see the attached Business Case.

A full specification will be developed following this market engagement exercise.

The Authority intends that the market engagement will cover the following areas, although this is subject to change: - Licensing and pricing models - Contract management options - Development of specification
