HCC - 05/24 - The Provision of a Body Removal Service for Hertfordshire County Council

Hertfordshire County Council is currently out to procurement for the provision of a Body Removal Service.

Hertfordshire Coroner Service is required to provide investigative and administrative service to HM Coroners for the coronial area of Hertfordshire, in accordance with the Coroners & Justice Act 2009. The Coroner Service has a requirement for the provision of Body Removal Services and is seeking suitably qualified contractors to deliver this service. Contractors are required to remove the deceased from the place of death and other locations where the death may be referred to a Coroner and take them directly to a hospital mortuary or their premises unless otherwise directed by the police. Contractors may also be required to conduct the transfer of the deceased between hospitals.

This Contract will be split into the following Lots:

Lot 1 Baldock, Hitchin, Letchworth

Lot 2 Royston

Lot 3 Stevenage, Codicote, Knebworth

Lot 4 Dacorum

Lot 5 St Albans, Harpenden

Lot 6 Welwyn, Hatfield, Potters Bar

Lot 7 Broxbourne, Cheshunt

Lot 8 Three Rivers

Lot 9 Watford

Lot 10 Bushey, Borehamwood, Radlett

Lot 11 Hoddesdon

Lot 12 East Herts - Bishops Stortford, Sawbridgeworth, Buntingford

Lot 13 East Herts - Hertford, Ware
