Metal Work Fabrication for Lift Support System for HMSV Project

Direct award for fabrication two additional mast lift support systems, one set for the mizzen lower and one set for the fore lower to enable their removal from the ship as per the HMS Victory programme. Due to the high-risk nature of the mast lift operations, and the criticality of the lift support systems this has been direct awarded based on the appointed supplier due to their previous experience of the project and working on the successful removal of the Main Lower Mast. The direct award action is justified under the Procurement Act 2023 under Section 43 and Schedule 5, Regulations 7(a)(b) Please note- the contracting authority will issue a future tender requirement to procure metal fabrication contractor(s) for the longer-term requirements of the project.
