The vehicle will employ BOSS (Battlefield Operations Support System) Software as a test tool that enables the team to conduct test and assurance activities.
The vehicle is capable of concurrent testing and shall be capable of operating throughout the UK.
Test and assurance is a mandatory requirement set by the Royal Navy Command Acquisition Support Programme and is therefore essential to provide the ability to maintain test and assurance to all TDL fitted platforms in the UK.
The vehicle is also utilised for Operational Defect rectification and to baseline emerging TDL technologies.
