Real-Time Location System (RTLS)

Preliminary Market Engagement Notice

Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (LTHT) intends to undertake a Preliminary Market Engagement (PME) exercise in relation to a potential requirement for a Real-Time Location System (RTLS).

Purpose of the Market Engagement

The purpose of this Preliminary Market Engagement is to:

• provide interested suppliers with an overview of the Trust's high-level requirements;

• understand the solutions, technologies and capabilities currently available in the market;

• obtain supplier feedback and market insight to help inform the Trust's requirements; and

• support the Trust in considering its potential future procurement strategy and approach.

The Trust is interested in engaging with suppliers that provide Real-Time Location System (RTLS) solutions, sometimes referred to as Real-Time Tracking Systems.

RTLS technology can be used to automatically identify and track the location of assets, equipment, inventory and, where appropriate, people in real time. Through this engagement, the Trust wishes to develop its understanding of available solutions and how these may support its operational requirements.
