The brief

Bath & North East Somerset Council invites tenders for the operation and management of Royal Victoria Park Golf and Footgolf Site under a concession contract.

The successful operator will be responsible for delivering a high-quality, inclusive, financially sustainable service aligned to Council priorities for parks, heritage, and wellbeing.

The facilities include a payment kiosk (small shop) and toilets, and it is located centrally with high public footfall, but with only one car parking space on site.

The site is well located to benefit from visitors attending the nearby Royal Victoria Park.

The public footpaths (Cotswold Way) and mature trees impact the ability to develop the site further.

The operator will be required to maintain and operate the facility with the aim of providing activity or activities that support the Councils required outcomes, whilst removing any financial burden to the council relating to this site.

This is a key outcome requirement of this concession contract.

The council would be willing to advise on potential external funding opportunities from grant, section 106 and Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL).
