What the notice says
Not fully read: this is the notice text; attached documents are not read.
Unite Procurement UK Limited (part of Unite Holding SE), on behalf of the Ministry of Defence, is seeking suppliers to join the Unite Procurement Platform to support the Supply of Bayonet Training Dummies.
The procurement covers;
The Ministry of Defence requires robust, safe and realistic bayonet training
dummies to support Phase 1 Basic Training establishments.
Two types of equipment are required:
-Ground Mounted Bayonet Dummies - stable, fixed installations for
individual and collective bayonet assault drills
- Hook Mounted Suspended Bayonet Dummies - suspended targets providing
dynamic training scenarios
The equipment shall be suitable for use in indoor and outdoor training
environments, withstand intensive daily use by recruits, and support delivery of
the Combat Bayonet Fighting syllabus. Training dummies must replicate human
torso dimensions, provide realistic target areas for thrusting and striking, and
minimise damage to training rifles and bayonet equipment.
Equipment must be weather resistant, UV resistant, require minimal maintenance,
and remain serviceable following repeated impact by training rifles fitted with
authorised training bayonets. The dummies shall contain no exposed sharp edges,
present no snagging hazards, and be manufactured from non-toxic materials in
compliance with UK health and safety legislation.
