When this comes round again

West Oxfordshire District Council has published 12 Construction notices, about every 5 months. On that rhythm the next one is expected around December 2026.

16% of West Oxfordshire District Council’s awards go to a supplier it has used before.

Which is the argument for getting on the list rather than winning this one. The incumbent is rarely the last winner — it is the roster. See the retention odds by category →

The brief

19 Holloway Road is a residential property in Witney, Oxfordshire that has been acquired by West Oxfordshire District Council (WODC) to provide temporary accommodation.

Works are required to improve the layout of the existing property and to bring it to the required standards so that the property can be occupied by four single people.

Works are intended to provide a comfortable refurbished living environment for single user temporary accommodation which meets all current regulatory and compliance standards for hostels.

Works include the full internal redecoration of the property, renewal of flooring, minor layout changes, installation of an LD1 fire detection system, fire doors and emergency lighting to meet fire safety requirements as well as limited electrical works and testing.

All works should be executed in line with the requirements of the Construction Design and Management (CDM) Regulations 2015 and will be managed directly under the terms of a JCT Minor Works Contract by West Oxfordshire District Council.

Please note that as this is a residential property, welfare facilities including a toilet and hot and cold washing facilities will be available for use at the property itself.
