Warwickshire County Council (WCC) County Highways, has a duty to maintain the carriageway network.
To ensure we know the condition of the network and can plan treatments to keep the network in as good condition as possible we carry out road condition surveys.
There is also a requirement by DfT to provide annual data in line with PAS 2161 and Road Condition Indicator (RCI) 130-01 & RCI130-02 for the classified network.
WCC is seeking to engage with road survey market on cost and carbon effective options available to us that will meet the requirements laid out by DfT in line with PAS 2161.
We are seeking an option that will survey all our entire network.
Our current methodology is as follows - Classified Road network and high hierarchy U roads surveyed in one direction annually.
Low Hierarchy U roads (Mainly cul-de-sacs) surveyed over a 3 year period.
