The brief

Homes England are issuing this notice in relation to the construction of Brookleigh Primary School, located to the north of Burgess Hill within the County of West Sussex.

The school site forms a parcel of land within a wider development at Brookleigh (also known as Northern Arc).

Brookleigh is intended to deliver 3,500 homes, as well as other non- residential uses including the school.

The anticipated start on site is January 2028 with a 19-month construction period, with the school ready for the start of the Autumn term September 2029 and the outline scope of works is to include the following; • Primary School building incorporating classrooms, halls, studios, dining and kitchen area, learning resources (including library), staff and administration areas, storage areas, toilets, front of house and back of house areas, etc. • External Works including hard and soft landscaping, sports pitches, canopies, boundary walls, etc.

Outline planning consent for Brookleigh was granted in October 2019 (reference DM/18/5114) and Resrved Matters decision May 2026 (reference DM/25/2640) .
