When this comes round again

London Borough of Ealing Council publishes Health & Social Care work continuously — 9 notices, roughly one every 55 days. This is a stream to watch, not a cycle to wait for.

43% of London Borough of Ealing Council’s awards go to a supplier it has used before.

Which is the argument for getting on the list rather than winning this one. The incumbent is rarely the last winner — it is the roster. See the retention odds by category →

The brief

Procurement for the provision of Independent Travel Training Services, designed to empower children, young people, and adults with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) to travel independently and safely.

The service underpins the council’s commitment to promoting independence, inclusion, and improved quality of life for some of our most vulnerable residents.

It is proposed that the new contract will be for an initial period of five years, commencing in September 2026, with the option to extend for a further two years, subject to satisfactory performance and the continued availability of funding.

The expected annual budget will be up to £283,493 for 2026/27, and could rise to circa £500k by 2032/33, if the anticipated growth in demand is achieved.

This approach ensures stability and continuity for service users whilst also allowing flexibility to respond to changing needs and circumstances.
