Supply of catering services to United Kingdom Supreme Court
The United Kingdom Supreme Court (UKSC) seeks a sole Supplier (Caterer) to deliver the following (not exhaustive list): provision of Consumables including but not limited to snacks, beverages, cold drinks (but not alcohol except for events if agreed), light meals, lunches, hot/cold AND meeting room menus, and such other food services as may be required in respect of UKSC catering requirements. • A 'wide range' of sandwiches and microwavable snacks. • To be proactive in the identification and introduction of new services that would increase sales; contribute to its own profitability; and enhance the reputation of UKSC (maximise Net revenue with support from UKSC) • Provide the staffing, provisioning, and operation of the cafeteria. • Provide a buffet style lunch service (for up to 12 people) • The buffet lunch services shall as a minimum be available Monday to Thursday (except non-Working Days) for the Months of September to July (inclusive).
The supplier will be provided with the number of lunches per day for a particular week before the commencement of that week.
The supplier shall invoice the relevant parties directly for such lunches at the prices set in accordance with Agreements, made.
UKSC will support both parties as necessary in relation to this agreement but will not be responsible for the overall provision or charges. • Provide a meeting room hire and catering service - taking bookings and payments associated customer requests (UKSC will provide the meeting rooms).
As an agent for UKSC: • Sell existing souvenir stock and via online platform (support provided by UKSC). • Provide for external events and invoice relevant parties directly. • Clean the areas and equipment within their responsibility. • This is an opportunity for a profitable business in a prestigious organisation in a central London location with high tourist footfall.
Although the UKSC will provide/pay for - equipment, space, and utilities for the running of the catering service, the award of this contract does not include monetary payment by UKSC to the successful bidder. • The threshold as to when rent will become payable to UKSC is £140,000 excluding VAT. • Once the supplier reaches a turnover of £140,000 excluding VAT, the Caterer will pay 7% of all turnover over this threshold, to the UKSC.
Buffet Lunch payments are not included in this threshold.
