Central Digital Platform:
supplier registration guide

The Central Digital Platform is the online service the Procurement Act 2023 relies on, and it is Find a Tender. Suppliers register there once, keep their core supplier information in one place and share it with a buyer for each covered procurement.

What is the Central Digital Platform?

The system named in the Procurement Regulations 2024 as the central digital platform, available at find-tender.service.gov.uk.

Cabinet Office guidance says the online system referenced in the Act and named in the regulations as the central digital platform “is available at” Find a Tender (guidance, para 1).

Buyers publish their notices there, suppliers hold their core information there, and anyone can view the notices free of charge (short guide).

  1. Buyers and suppliers register and receive a unique identifier.

    para 2(a)

  2. Contracting authorities publish the notices the Act requires.

    para 2(b)

  3. Suppliers keep core organisational information, seen only by buyers they share it with.

    para 2(c)

  4. Anyone can read the notices and the related procurement data.

    para 2(d)

How does a supplier register on the Central Digital Platform?

Create a GOV.UK One Login, finish the platform registration, then register your organisation as a supplier.

  1. Before you start01

    Use the current documents

Check the primary publication and later changes before using the sequence below.
  2. Check 202

    Create a GOV.UK One Login

Each person signs in with their own One Login, then agrees to the platform’s privacy policy and enters their name (registration guide).
  3. Check 303

    Register an organisation

Choose “Register an organisation”, then Supplier. Have the Companies House number or an equivalent such as a Charity Commission number, and the registered address, to hand (registration guide).
  4. Check 404

    Use a shared email address

GOV.UK advises an organisation email other members of the team can access. Re-registering with the email of an old Find a Tender account keeps its notices and saved searches.
  5. Follow through05

    Find your unique identifier

If you have no registration number the platform assigns one. The identifier is shown on the organisation page; the Supplier Registration Service calls it the PPON, the public procurement organisation number (SRS FAQ).

An editorial order of work, not a buyer's fixed timetable. The current notice and documents determine participation and submission.

How do you get bid-ready on the Central Digital Platform?

Register, complete supplier information, then share it for each procurement.

  1. Start with the source01

    Create a One Login

Each person signs in with their own GOV.UK One Login.
  2. Define the scope02

    Register the organisation

Companies House number or equivalent, and the registered address.
  3. Read the evidence03

    Complete supplier information

Basic, connected persons, qualifications, assurances, exclusions, financial.
  4. Make the decision04

    Declare it accurate

Name, job title, work email and postal address.
  5. Name the next action05

    Share the code

Enter the share code in the buyer's portal, or send the file.

A supplier’s review sequence, based on the primary sources below. It is not a measured outcome or a prescribed buyer timetable.

What core supplier information does the platform hold?

Four categories set by regulation 6: basic information, economic and financial standing, connected persons and exclusion grounds.

CategoryWhat it covers, in summary
Basic informationName, unique identifier, address, VAT number, legal form, registration date, qualifications and trade associations, whether you are an SME or a public service mutual
Economic and financial standingAs set out in your most recent financial accounts
Connected personsNames, dates of birth, nationality, service address and legal form of relevant connected persons
Exclusion groundsRelevant convictions and events that are mandatory or discretionary exclusion grounds under the Act
Cabinet Office guidance on the central digital platform, paragraph 59, read 25 October 2026. In the platform itself the sections are Basic Information, Connected Persons, Qualifications, Trade Assurances, Exclusions and Financial Information (walkthrough).

How do you share your information with a buyer?

Declare it accurate, then give the buyer a share code or the downloaded supplier information file.

Regulation 6 requires the buyer to obtain your confirmation that you have registered, submitted up-to-date core supplier information and shared it through the platform (para 60).

If information the regulations cover is missing, the buyer must ask you to add it on the platform, not request it separately (para 63). That is why the procurement specific questionnaire asks only for what is not stored there.

  1. Read the declaration, then give your name, job title, work email and postal address.

  2. A number you enter in the buyer’s tendering portal.

  3. Or download the supplier information and send or upload it.

  4. After a change, update the information and create a new share code.

Who in your team can do what on the platform?

Three roles: administrators manage everything, editors can declare and create share codes, viewers can read and copy the code.

RoleWhat it can do
AdministratorAll supplier account functions, including managing other users and changing supplier and organisation information
EditorView supplier information, change organisation information, complete declarations and generate a share code
ViewerView organisation and supplier information, download data and see the share code to enter it in a tender form
GOV.UK detailed walkthrough for administrators, read 25 October 2026. Give bid writers viewer access so they can find the share code without being able to change the declaration.

Register and complete your supplier information before the first deadline, not on the day it is due.

  1. It is Find a Tender

The platform the Act relies on, with a GOV.UK One Login.
  2. One record, many bids

Core supplier information is stored once and shared per procurement.
  3. Share code

The number a buyer’s portal asks for.

What else should you know about Central Digital Platform?

Check these points before committing your team’s time.

Is the Central Digital Platform the same as Find a Tender?
Yes. Cabinet Office guidance says the central digital platform named in the Procurement Regulations 2024 is available at find-tender.service.gov.uk.
How do I log in to the Central Digital Platform?
With your own GOV.UK One Login on Find a Tender. If you used Find a Tender before 24 February 2025 you need to have re-registered since then to reach the new platform (Supplier Registration Service FAQ).
What is a PPON?
The public procurement organisation number: the unique organisation identifier the platform gives a registered organisation. It is shown on your organisation page.
Where do I get my share code?
Complete the supplier information on your organisation page, choose "Share my information", read and accept the declaration, then "Confirm and get share code" (GOV.UK walkthrough).
Is the Central Digital Platform free?
Viewing notices is free of charge, and GOV.UK describes searching and setting up alerts at no cost (short guide).
Does the platform replace the buyer's tender portal?
No. Notices and supplier information sit on the platform; the buyer's own documents and submission instructions say where your tender goes. See Find a Tender integration.

Where can you check the evidence?
