The brief

The Constabulary would like to understand which manufacturers/suppliers hold certification (to Home Office Body Armour Standard (2017)) of the following ballistic body armour criteria: HO2/KR1/SP1 that are certified and are compatible to be worn with certified HO3+SG1 plates.

Please note, both the armour and the plates must be certified to work in conjunction with each other.

The Constabulary have consulted with the PED CAST webpage but are keen to understand where other manufacturers are in their Ballistic body armour and plates certification journey.

If you are going through certification for the above standard, please advise on when certification is likely.

If you hold certification, please supply your certification of the above standard by sending to procurement@hampshire.police.uk as soon as possible but before 7th October 2025.
