The brief

Expressions of Interest are being sought for the provision of consultancy support for the Aylesbury Garden Town project.

The Contract Period will be approximately 16 months (subject to change).

Aylesbury was awarded Garden Town status in January 2017, offering a unique chance to ensure that as the town grows, Aylesbury and the surrounding area continues to be the best possible place to live work and visit.

Since Aylesbury was awarded garden town status in January 2017, our first step has been to bring everyone responsible for the development of the Vale together, and form a partnership.

The group includes AVDC, Bucks County Council, two Local Enterprise Partnerships (South East Midlands and Buckinghamshire Thames sValley) and Buckinghamshire Advantage.

Together we have formed a project team and started building a dedicated Garden Town Team including a Project Manager.

Alongside the team we have also been receiving consultancy support to help provide initial support in setting up the project.

The initial support has been invaluable and the decision has been made to commission consultants to continue to provide this 'critical friend' and independent advise and support to the Project.

Please email your expression of interest to procurement@aylesburyvaledc.gov.uk by noon on Friday 1st December 2017.
