Environment Agency Self-Service Direct Award.
Native oyster reef restoration is a key component of the Environment Improvement Plan (2025), which commits to restoring functional oyster reef habitat across 5 to 8 English waterbodies. To support this commitment, this project will build on work completed during 2025/26, which is detailed in report 'Waterbody Prioritisation Report for Native Oyster (Ostrea edulis) Restoration in England'. This current contract will take forward several of the recommendations required to further guide restoration activities needed to deliver the Environmental Improvement Plan (EIP) target whilst also supporting other EA regulatory requirements such as Water Environment Regulations (WER).
