What the notice says
Not fully read: this is the notice text; attached documents are not read.
SYMCA are seeking to appoint an experienced Consultant or partnership to develop insights led region specific design guidance for walking, wheeling and cycling infrastructure in South Yorkshire.
This commission requires expertise in both lived experience engagement and technical design and may be delivered by either a partnership of consultants or a single organisation able to demonstrate capability across both core activities.
The purpose of the guidance is to establish a clear and consistent set of regional design expectations and principles that support the planning, design, assurance and delivery of walking, wheeling and cycling interventions across South Yorkshire.
The guidance will support Local Authorities, Consultants, Developers, Delivery Partners and Funders and will be used as a reference point during the Design Review Panel Process. It is not intended to replace national guidance, create new statutory requirements or operate as a mandatory design code, rather it will build on existing guidance to become a shared framework for quality, inclusion and good practice.
