East Herts Council (EHC) and North Herts Council (NHC), "The Councils" operate waste & recycling collections and street cleansing services as a shared service.
The Councils intend to procure services which include, kerbside collection services for recycling and waste, street cleansing activities across The Councils districts and the bulking and storage of collected materials at a waste transfer station in Buntingford, Hertfordshire for a contract start in May 2025.
The approximate value of the contract is £10m pa.The Councils wish to engage with prospective bidders in a pre-procurement market engagement exercise, prior to proceeding with the tendering process.
