What the notice says
Not fully read: this is the notice text; attached documents are not read.
The Authority have an ongoing graffiti removal service which covers the removal of graffiti, fly posters and spilled paint from buildings and surfaces in public and private ownership throughout the Chichester district area. The authority also require chewing gum to be removed from the Chichester city centre area.
Chichester District Council sought to appoint a contractor to deliver a comprehensive graffiti, fly-posting, paint spill, and chewing gum removal service across the district. The service will operate across key locations including Chichester city centre and surrounding areas such as Midhurst, Selsey, Petworth, and Bosham. The requirement arises from the ongoing need to maintain a clean, safe, and visually acceptable public environment.
The successful contractor will be expected to provide both proactive and reactive services, including routine attendance, rapid response to priority incidents (such as offensive graffiti within 24 hours), and out-of-hours call-out capability.
In addition to removal activities, the contractor will be responsible for stakeholder coordination, including engagement with property owners, statutory service providers, council teams, and law enforcement agencies. The service will also support wider community safety and enforcement activity through the provision of records, photographic evidence, and reporting.
