The Objectives for the Public Mental Health project are:
Promote positive mental health, reduce mental health stigma, primary prevention of mental ill health through evidence-based practice.
Build capacity for peer support and lived experience engagement.
Advocate for better policies, support and services to protect, improve or maintain mental health.
The project/service will be aimed at adults living in the City of York Council area, with a particular focus on those who are at increased risk of developing poor mental health. The project/service is not intended to offer 1-to-1 support.
We want to meet with current and potential providers to gauge who may be interested in bidding for the contract to deliver this public mental health project in the City of York. The input of potential bidders will help us to finetune the service specification and procurement documents. We also want to understand potential delivery models, including risks and opportunities and how this may impact on our commissioning process.
