The Cellular & Molecular Therapies (CMT) laboratories within NHS Blood and Transplant ( NHSBT) provide a range of services to support haemopoietic stem cell transplantation including collection, processing, and cryopreservation of stem cells.
An important part of the services offered by CMT is the purification of stem cells and depletion of other cells, such as CD3+, TCRαβ, CD19+ cells, that may cause complications in the transplant procedures.
The purpose of this notice is to: • Alert potential suppliers that NHSBT intends to award a contract for the supply of consumables and maintenance of existing equipment and in addition potential purchase of new equipment & maintenance in the future if demand increases. • Develop NHSBTs understanding of the capabilities, dependencies and competitiveness of the marketplace and the ability of industry to provide the required level of support.
