This Intention to Award Notice is issued in accordance with the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. The Procurement relates to the Invitation to Tender for the procurement of Targeted Lung Healthcare Checks. The purpose of this procurement was to secure a Service Provider to deliver Targeted Lung Healthcare Checks across the geographical area covered by NHS Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin Integrated Care Board.

This contract has been awarded under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award. This contract has now been formally awarded in accordance with a competitive process (Regulation 11). It should be noted that the programme name has also been changed nationally from 'Targeted Lung Healthcare Checks' to 'Lung Cancer Screening Programme'; this name change has been reflected in the Contract. - The contract will be for an initial period of 2 years starting on 01/09/2025 to 31/08/2027, with the option to extend for up to a further 24-month period. - Date of contract award: 21 November 2024 - Total value of the contract: £7,108,000 - Previous publication concerning this procedure: *Notice number: 2024/S 000-038085
