The brief

The aim of the procurement is to ensure an effective approach is taken which will meet the current and future needs of the organisation and the educational establishments who buy in to the contracts.

Property Services manages a number of assets and customers on behalf of the Council, providing access to a range of services some of which are from supply chain partners, these services form part of this service offer.

The assets and customers can be broadly defined as: 1) Corporate Buildings 2) Maintained Schools and Nurseries 3) Academies and Free Schools 4) Libraries 5) Adults and Children's Social Care facilities The services to be included in the procurement are; 1) Grounds Maintenance & Arboriculture Services 2) Building, Washrooms and Window Cleaning Services 3) Waste and Confidential Waste Services 4) Pest Control Services 5) Security - Manned and Patrol Services 6) Gritting and Snow Clearing Services These services are critical to the operation of all our corporate and non-corporate sites.

Having a reliable supplier or suppliers in place for these types of services means we can provide a safer, cleaner and a more welcoming environment for both staff and the public.

This can lead to more productivity and reduce any staff or public risk.

These services are carried out in civic offices, historic, operational and commercial buildings, social care premises, libraries, and schools (including academies and free schools).
