The brief

Monitor is seeking specialist research expertise to work alongside our Development team who are designing tools and resources for individual NHS providers to diagnose and address culture and leadership issues affecting operational performance within their organisations.

The diagnostic tools and resources will be based on collective leadership approaches and will be designed to support trusts to self-assess whether they are well-led, exploring the links between operational and financial performance with its leadership and cultural environment.

Central to the work is the need to base the development and testing of the diagnostics and supporting tools on a credible evidence base which sets out: • what type of leadership and culture strategies work within a healthcare environment; and • how to assess and measure whether these will lead to sustainable operational and financial performance within a trust.

The project is due to run over a two year period and further details are provided in the attachment.

Please register your interest in this opportunity no later than 3pm 14 August by e-mail to Procurement@monitor.gov.uk
